Katie Stone

I believe that there can be times in most people’s lives when they find themselves struggling or experiencing difficulties and when having someone independent, such as a counsellor, to talk to can be really helpful. Maybe you are struggling with difficult feelings, relationship issues, loss, anxiety, stress or the impact that past experiences are having on the present day?  I aim to offer everyone I work with a safe, warm, empathic, non-judgemental space in which to explore their feelings.  Together we can work to understand what might feel difficult, what might be behind this and help you to identify any changes you may wish to make, finding renewed strength, self-acceptance and a positive way forward.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for many years with people experiencing trauma and challenge. This work led me to develop a deep sense of compassion and an absolute belief in the ability of people to make changes in their lives given the right conditions and support. I believe that personal therapy can provide just the support needed and for some can be transformative. I work with warmth, openness and honesty to build a sense of safety and trust between us enabling you to explore what matters even when it may feel hard, we will work through it together.

If you wish to discuss what personal therapy might mean to you then please get in touch.
